Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

"Tony + TMW - wake up you dozy gits :-)"

I'm awake now Fartlek!

Went to bed at 12, feeling like it might be lost, then I thought about Andrew Marr's article in which he discussed the countless ordinary people who recognised him and told him they were for OUT. All the racist/bigot/little Englander shit had two effects, I believe. One was to make lots of OUT voters keep quiet, giving the polls their error, and the other was really to put people's backs up.

Yes its a long road between saying we're going to leave and actually doing it. Its a lot of work. Not sure how "up" for it government will be. As I said we could end up with a full blown constitutional crisis with Parliament effectively being hamstrung with divisions.

Before the referendum campaign began, the increasing problems in public services were generally understood to be down to austerity - whether you believe it is necessary or not. I mean - a couple of months ago - that's all.

The Leave campaign put out the word that it was caused by a flood of migrants coming to sponge off us, putting pressure on finances - genius! The leader of Remain couldn't contradict because the contradiction means admitting it's public service cuts. All he could do was harrumph about renegotiations with Brussels, which even EU supporters could see was ridiculous.

Can we take a long look at ourselves and at least remember that we used to think that young, tax-paying migrants are a net benefit to the public purse before we get the knives out and start the deportations?

Well brexiters I hope you're happy, you're going to get the country your short sighted fuckwittery deserves, with Boris as PM.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.
