As a remain voter, I just feel sad.
We are all foreign somewhere, racists are just arsholes.

As a protest vote, this really is like cutting ones head off because you have toothache. I wonder how many votes Cameron's manifesto referendum pledge won him, because it has certainly cost him and the country plenty now.

if many people did vote leave as an 'anti establishment' protest then we shouldn't be too surprised. after all, it's a mood that's happening around the world and it's one of the main reasons why Trump is popular.

I'd rather be associated with France, Germany, Holland or Spain than with UK right now. Ridiculous decision, with some odious language and horrible prospects. Gove or Johnson as prime minister? Terrifying.
Of course we have to make the best of it. But those leading us through that are self interested, pocket lining and amoral. I can't see that anyone other the uber rich and their friends are going to benefit. And ironically, it will be those who voted for Leave - C2, Ds and Es, low paid, less well educated - those who need the most protection and support, who will suffer the most under the lurch to the right wing in our leadership.
A sad day. Like others, I'm looking for my own exit. Either Scotland to leave UK and rejoin EU. Or if that fails New Zealand.

I'm happy, but not triumphalist.
Very disappointing to see all the fuckwit references on here.

At least the remainers will have a period of smug "told you so" as compensation.

I doubt that leave would have been any better. Farage busy casting Remain voters as the non decent people, which isn't a good start.
Also backing away from the NHS money pledge; funny how he let that run during the campaign. I bring that up because I don't believe that Leave will be able to deliver what they have promised, on any front. I shouldn't be surprised by politicians thinking more about their own careers than dealing honestly with the electorate, but there are consequences here that can't be undone at the next election.
But. You won. I need to deal with that, and it won't be by swearing at you.

If there's a good you so, it won't be smug as we'll all suffer. In fact it's likely to be angry.
