Cram was banging so much he started talking about some having similar names, lol. I think he has a point though. Runners shouldn't be bought. Maybe some sort of residency rule? In regards to world XC, I don't mind how many 'Kenyans' compete, in fact I wouldn't mind if the rules allowed countries that had a lot of world class runners to select a few extra runners. It always feel odd that really food runners miss out by accident of birth place while others not as good get in via the same accident of birth place. |

Bought the Athletics Weekly review of the year this morning. It's great and has some brilliant photos in it.

I see Eluid Kipchoge isn't defending his VLM title because he's focussing on a potential sub 2 hour attempt before the year is out. I've read about sub 2 being possible given perfect conditions, in this case a presumably scientifically controlled environment, I never thought it would be attempted like this until now. citizentv.co.ke

Ooh Ross Tucker is scathing about it. He insists it is pretty much a cheat (sounds like it is), and will either use downhill course or specially adapted shoes. sportsscientists.com |

I'm sure I read somewhere that the plan was to run on a non-WR eligible course, so I'm assume somewhere with a steady, but overall massive drop from start to finish. And if you get the right day, maybe a big following wind will help the cause.
