SA - no, wasn't me. I actually live in Somerset, but my parents are in Cockenzie & we're bringing the kids up for half term. Eldest is doing the 1.5km junior race, and I'm getting insanely jealous (I've already had my spring marathon this year). Race number arrived this morning.

Thanks, Weean - it shall remain a mystery then.

Yay, Ellem. :-) Are you going to bring your camera? Or is anyone else?

Lothian Buses have finally put information re bus diversions on their website: lothianbuses.com For anyone travelling from Edinburgh city centre, to our wee cheering point, this means that you can use either Lothian 26 or 44. Get off at the Brunton Hall in Musselburgh (second stop after entering Musselburgh and passing a Shell Garage on your left and Lidl on your right) and walk over to Links View. Not sure how to tag a location on Google Maps, but it's easy enough to find. I reckon McNewbie and I should be there from ca. 9am.

Oh dear. I've changed a sentence in my post and forgot to delete the now superfluous comma. :-o

I thought you were going to hang out at the start with Johnny No Fetch until he has set off, Nicki? Normally, those buses take about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. I suspect they might be a fair bit slower on Sunday though (but then, on the other hand, getting out to Musselburgh in the morning might be fine still). Just join us whenever you get here. :-)

And you're married already, too! ;-)

I've had a wee look around today: there are things we can attach balloons to. Either some private railings, or lamp posts on the other side of the road. I've got a feeling standng on the right-hand side of the road might be better as most runners will veer towards the left side since there's a left turn afterwards, so right-hand side should be less congested.
