my last long run was supposed to be last Sunday but I pulled up short after 9.5 miles and am battling some kind of ear infection, reeling with vertigo a lot of the time. I blew up on my last long run last year too so I am trying not to worry too much. I have the BUPA ladies 10k in Glasgow this Sunday if I am recovered, anything else is going to have to be when I feel I can manage it, I did try to run on the treadmill on Tuesday but oh boy does that make you dizzy when you feel icky anyway Anyway, suppose its best to get all the rubbish out of the way now and not the week of the race, good luck with taper everyone.

had my last properly long run on Sunday, 22 miles and its taken most of the week for my legs to feel normal again. 15 miles this Sunday and then proper taper time. fingers crossed but all my wonky knee/hip bits seem to be holding up at the moment.
hope you're better soon jacs, still plenty of time to be back on form for the 26th at least!

not dizzy this morning so a step in the right direction, sitting here on fetch trying to convince myself that I am actually ok for work but my body isn't complying so far.

Missed my last long run of 20 miles last Sunday due to doing Keswick half. Now wondering whether to do it tomorrow. Or maybe cut it down a bit as I should be tapering now according to my plan. Any ideas?

Andy, Its a bit late to be doing a 20 miler....2 weeks out I would be doing 17 max.
I am no longer running, going to hampden instead, albeit I dont expect to be returning home happy

I'm not tapering just yet due to missing a big chunk of training, but I'll only run 18 tomorrow (with a big chunk of MP in it though).

I've been 'tapering' since I ran Lochaber 4 weeks ago, max long run of 13 miles but recovered well and legs feeling ready for the sub 3:15 push after a 3:19 at Lochaber, just want race day here now😄
