sarabop, yep, its feeling close enough now to be exciting rather than some abstract future craziness i've signed up for!

Cammy, I quite often sabotage my own pacing, I usually have a fair plan before a race and then throw it out the window within a mile... but realise i'm not going to get away with that for 26.2 so I better behave myself! With any luck i'll have it sorted out by number 10 too :)

A tough 22 miler in the bag this morning, last big training run before Edinburgh, although still got the Ed to NB 20 mile race in two weeks. Managed to watch two ospreys fishing this morning while on my run, quite a sight!! :)

Everyone's enthusiasm on here and watching the London Marathon on Sunday has got me hugely excited too.

To make things even better, on Saturday I enjoyed perhaps my best ever training run (21 miles in 2.50) around a sunny London. I felt great before, during and after (a totally new experience). Donaldo, your run sounds terrific. Where did you see the ospreys? Anywhere near Dunblane?

It sounds like everyone's training's coming along really well. Good luck for the next few weeks!

Had a somewhat mixed mixed feeling about last sunday's 20m (out and back along the union canal). First 10with the wind behind didn't feel that good but gradually felt better into the wind whilst increasing the pace..
Only a couple more weeks of heavy training then we can all taper down...i'm looking forward to it already. I've got a mp session planned this afternoon with this bloody wind:-o

William, I saw them at the Orchil fishery near Gleneagles, about 9 and 13 miles into my run. Awesome sight. Will be taking the car out this week - and the camera!

Well done on the long runs. :)

20 miles done in decent condition for a change, this morning. Feeling a bit more confident now. How is everyone else doing?

did 20 today too but forgot to restart my garmin after pausing to cross a busy road at one point then got annoyed at myself before realising it didn't matter a bit, I do get all emotional on long runs, must be my blood sugar or something:) Bloody starving now, off to make some dinner!
