Good long runs CamBear and jacs... Nice to see the confidence building CamBear and relax jacs, running shouldn't be stressful;-)
Slightly misjudged distance had me run 25.2 yesterday instead of 23 but wasn't a problem, just meant the final 2m climb came a little later than planned;-)
At least it won't be long untill taper time now and the paranoia begins

20 done today, for the first time felt that 26.2 is actually doable, a good strong run. One more long run next weekend and then taper. Eek.

folliowing runners world trainning down load on to my garmin, not going to plans as i sometimes don't do as im told because of playing the program on a ship for a month at a time so the weathers a pain in the arse, but only one more long run on the 5th of may, 22 miles, so fingers cross its flat. other wise i could reprogram again :). any body else following the same one.

Evening all - how's everyone holding up, only a couple of weeks to go. Hoefully everyone is staying injury free and started or about to start tapering... Did my last 20miler on monday and now on the road downward - reckon 17m on sunday then around 12m a week out. I'm starting a 2week taper from monday but going to find it hard as i feel guilty taking rest days as it is:-o

I noticed you've run a couple of 20's the last couple of weeks. You'll be fairly confident of a good run on the 26th?
I've run a couple of 5k's last week to sharpen up a bit so my next race will be Edinburgh. Also now at the stage of questioning my training as in "have i done enough miles,speedwork...etc" .

Yup, but not super confident it being my first mara and only been running a short while. I won't go over ten miles now, and I do hope I get around 4.30 but who knows! I shall continue to Parkrun and small races and also club runs to keep things ticking over. It's so close now. Your plan looks good to my untrained eye. Is there any kind of Fetch meet up there do you know?
