OK, is this one of those things you don't warn you about? How soon after completing a marathon do you stop having to burp every twenty minutes?

Or maybe that's just me...

Just what I was thinking Baz. I work down at Granton and there is a fabulous harr and a gentle breeze - someone was definitely taking the p**s on Sunday. :)

Got to say the organisation was brill. Never been to Edinburgh before but it wasnt hard to find a bus, pay the measly sum of £1.30 and get transported right to my B & B after the race, Will do it again if you can promise the weather will be 'good old Anglesey wind & rain'!!

Yup, it's 14 and a light drizzle in the city centre.
Of course if it had been like this, we'd have all been complaining that it had been sunny all week :)

Think I'll head out for my first post-race run at lunch. When I say run I of course mean hobble around a mile like a pensioner with piles*.

* for the record, no I don't have piles.

Well... we'll call that a game of two halves, shall we...?

First 16 miles, great - bang on target for a PB - even managed to comfortably pick the pace up around 8 miles - really enjoying myself.

But I'm just not built for heat clearly... that'll be the second half (of 10 miles, I know...). Totally blew up; simply couldn't hold the pace or even nearly hold the place...

The silver lining was meeting Triplet Dad as we entered Gosford Park and thereafter we chummed each other round the final 8; it would have been much worse without his sterling support.

Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar and I salute you ! *does salute*
