Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Eddington number - do you know yours?

Aha, found the picture first and wondered what was going on :)
My E=19, was quite surprised at that

My running E=16. That's higher than I anticipated and it's reassuring that I've previously done it 16 times.

Not interesting for me, especially since I don’t appear to have an Eddington number and won’t until I next do a 13 miler. 😀

If you've run 1 mile, once, then you have an Eddington Number.

Don't disrespect Paul Eddington ;-)

20 for me which is a bit of a surprise considering I've only ran two marathons. I know I did a lot of long runs before I got injured over the last couple of years, didn't realise it was that many😀

I loved Yes Minister and The Good Life

😁😁😁

Oops, that was cycling, thought it was a bit much.

17, which is more around the level I would've expected.

Sigh
Just had a look on IMDB. Paul Eddington appeared in 30 episodes of the Good Life, 22 Episodes of Yes, Minister and 16 episodes of Yes, Prime Minister. So if you went on the basis of original material only rather than repeats and combined the total of the two Minister series, the highest Paul Eddington number is 30.

However, you could be less mainstream and more niche and still get a decent number (his appearances in 64 episodes of "The Adventures of Robin Hood" betw. 1956-1960, for example).

E=20. Which I've done 27 times. I've run 21 12 times and done 9 marathons which is making me think I don't do quite enough high mileage runs in my training 🤔

What's this? A new basis for run motivation. E=13 for me, which, for all the academics in the house, is one more than my h-index.

Is your h’index for when you’re talking to someone posh? :-)
