Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Morning all, are we excited about the budget tomorrow?

In this piece on jobs and employment Faisal Islam suggests the BoE might be persuaded away form a further interest rate rise next week, which i think would be a good thing and would get my vote

Yes, the uncertainties caused by the SVB collapse are likely to stymie any rate increases.

I expect nothing that happens in the budget will have an impact on me personally at all.

Because you have no mortgage, loans, investments, savings or any other financial products Glenners?! ;-) Or just that your personal resilience means you are able to ignore the effects? :-) G

I'll certainly be happy if rates don't go up and if they will start to come back down (if in the next 2 years). :-) G

Having temporarily un-'retired' to do some very well paid work, both of the pension changes being floated might affect me, so I might pay attention for the first time in years.
