Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have a list of essential shopping items to get tomorrow; while out it would be rude not to secure some donuts to end an 8 week drought.

Choice of donut eatery will really be one of Tesco (largeish), M&S (foodhall type outlet) or local Co-op that's sort of medium sized.

I've not shopped at all since lockdown so don;t know what the score is - are in store bakeries still going etc. I'm happy to take any recommendations of which of the 3 has been on point during lockdown from a Donut perspective....

....Looking forward to it.

Our Tesco bakery is still working as usual and the doughnuts have been very good. The nearest M&S is about 40miles away...

Completely useless information for you island dwellers, but I've found Albert Heijn has the best in house product, whereas Jumbo has the Dunkin' Donuts franchise (and worrying festive fare).

Lidl's wares are probably the same the world over: acceptable but not remarkable.

Sam is off to Aldi now, though, so we shall see what they have to offer.

Yeah, wasn’t the best of photos TRO, I can see the potato resemblance! Despite the dodgy photo it was lovely - from a small local bakery, and filled with loads of homemade raspberry jam - very nice.

Haven’t listened to the podcast yet CW, will have to check it out.
