We're having a picnic in our room in a rather pretty chateau where we're staying for a weekend away, and it wouldn't be complete without some mini beignets.


I went with classic raspberry filling, but there were chocolate and custard options also.

Ooh you reminded me, last week was fresh donuts from the pier at Felixstowe, and the most perfect old school jam doughnut from a bakery. A fab holiday, punctuated with donuts.
