halfpint
Went to St Ninians opencast mine yesterday for a walk. Had dinner with my second Mum - who really made a difference for me as a teenager- for the first time in years.

I joined that a couple of weeks ago, Linda. I used a local greengrocer to get some random veg to go with dinner. For £3.30 I got a good turnip and some parsnips which I roasted, a bag of watercress (mixed with salad next day), some chillis, three different types of apple, a plantain, and a mango. The mango was a little disappointing, lacking in flavour, and I didn’t use the plantain - Son1 said it was too ripe to fry. Whilst there I also bought a really good cauliflower and some onions.

You’ve reminded me to check it again today 😊

My Newt is being ultra sensible today! My left calf is still very tight - so I have not run :-o Yoga and a gentle walk in the sunshine instead.

Very sensible AL!
I've ordered a newt pull up bar. It's a freestanding one so I need to make space for it. Which will lead to newt room clearance. I started this last year but didn't finish. Will post pics once done. The bar arrives on Weds so I've a couple of days.

Off on a walk in the sunshine first to finally finish the castles challenge before the next one starts.
More *first birds of the year* spotted in the garden today- goldfinch and blackbird. There's also a little brown one that I need to identify.

Well done on being sensible, AL heart
My newt was going to an Easter Wreath making class. It was a lot of fun and I'm pleased with the result.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
