Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[Errr, how did you work that out Linds?! That's uncanny! Coach said it was 25 mins effort - pyramids from 1 min up to 2.20 with decreasing rests and 5 min break then back down sgain. I ran a bit of warm up before and it was 6 miles in total. There were some 5:30 bits in there! That's quick for me! :-) G ]

A Newt for me. I did a shorter run than on my schedule because my calf felt a bit tight. Never normally go "off plan"!

Also visited a local park I haven't visited for a while to pause and check out the wildlife. It was lovely in the early morning gloom!

Pomodoro comes from one of those seventies style kitchen timers in the shape of a tomato.

When I first read TeeBee's post, that's what I assumed she meant- just using that kind of timer!

I have found it useful in the glory days when I used to prevaricate a lot. So thanks Dio. I hadn’t thought about applying it to running though

I use the pomodoro technique when I have really tedious work to do and am feeling unmotivated. It's amazing what you can do in 25 mins without interuption.

Oh crikey it’s been so hard to choose. Loved sharkie’s cut grass and how everyone reacted to that. Everyone learnt (or was reminded of) something from the pomodoro technique.

However it’s the pole dancing I’m going for, just because I love the idea of it. Thanks for sharing it WA.

About This Thread

Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
