Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fabulous Cath :)

I am about to have a massive bonfire! First n a very long time, as I was waiting for my friend from Bristol, a special reqiest from her, Problem is, we then had not one but TWO lockdowns and she still isn't allowed to visit me... I will take a photo of the HUGE piled of stuff that needs burning, so I can mix the ashes with the home made cpmpost and put it on the beds ready for the growing season.

My most favourite newt of 2021. I had my cousins little one for a few hours this afternoon to give her a much needed break, he is a live wire but an absolute joy.

I had to wash the canopy and mini roof so he helped with that (he thought it was hilarious to accidentally soak me at the same time.

He then helped Uncle Andrew put in a fence post and learnt how to nail wood together making all kinds of stuff only he could imagine.

We then walked the dogs and he had a play in the stream too. Not sure who had the best day him or me! He was in bath and bed in no time by all accounts.

What I did today was a proper 5k race with real people. And got within 20s of my all time PB. Not bad off 100km of running this year. (Plus lots and lots of cycling.)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
