That's a nice newt signalling some sort of normality, Sharks :)

It definitely felt like normal life at club tonight still very much keeping safe distance and no hanging around for long chats. Our coach gave us all a little Easter egg too.

I saw a greenfinch one out bird feeder. The feeder has been there for a while, but this is the first bird I’ve seen on it.

Oh how lovely! It took our birds a long time to come to our feeders. We still didn’t get many, changed bird feed (bought from the garden centr, now get some from the pet shop which my in-laws use) and they are there all day everyday now.

Right then, my ''delayed'' decision.

It was very very hard, as an early entry by Gimme of the gloriously lovely photo of her dad and dog made me nearly jump the gun.

Then came lots of other Spring newts, Sharkie's track session stood out.

But today's, or rather yesterdays Newt of the day goes to HP's blog. Go read it and you know exactly why! It takes so much courage and energy writing a blog with this subject and it is so very very helpful, for all who read it as well as HP herself. Massive hugs from here. I hear you sister xx

And todays newts came early:

I was woken up by a consistent annoying beep. Went to investigate and foudn I had left the drawer from the freezer from which I extracted my newt icelolly yesterday slightly out, keeping the door ajar. I have solved the issue and closed the door. I hope the alarm stops once the temperature is back to normal.

Also: it being lovely and warm yesterday, I pulled my trusty old ripped above the knee jeans from the shelf with work trousers that don't fit anymore. I cut both legs off, just above the knee. I then managed to not only wriggle myself into them but also do them up! I have newt shorts AND I have newt weight loss! I may just fit into all my other clothes again now too. Tight, but they fit!

Nice one(s) Hann! Halfpint's blog is indeed worth reading and the contents noting. (And don't you dare disappear from the thread for the last few days, hp. You're a mainstay! xx

We're on the home straight now (note track language)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
