Also a Newt: I fell asleep on the sofa as I came in just before 7 tonight... I have only just woken up... I fall asleep on the sofa a lot, but never at this sort of time or for this long. I was feeling ever so slightly unwell, could not put my finger on it, so quickly lay down... I ralise I have just slept for 5 houts... ekkk, probably don't sleep now!

Got up to discover the Sparrowhawk had returned for breakfast. A pile of feathers on the lawn and this time it didn't take what it couldn't manage away with it. The remains are under a large pot at the moment because I can't face dealing with it and I don't want the dog to bring it in.
I do wonder if they were a pair of pigeons and perhaps nesting somewhere. Twice in the space of a little over 12 hours though is still a newt I guess but an even more gruesome one than yesterday's. I hope the neighbours don't look out of their windows and just see the evidence and say to each other 'we've always said that dog was nasty....'
It's not as if we are in the middle of the countryside - we are in a village and 'relatively' rural in that you can be out across fields and so on within about half a mile of our house but we are still on quite a big development of houses with gardens all backing on to each other.

It’s very much a newt, Baroness, and I reckon has a lot to do with it being spring.
Every new jab is a triumph

I'm jingling like a good 'un this morning - second newt of the day already - I've just registered to vote at our new address. I didn't want to miss out being able to vote in the council elections on 6 May (our ward will be an interesting one for tactical voting) so I filled in the form this morning (having subsequently checked it would seem I have about another month to get on the register but no time like the present!)

Morning! We have a fire engine in the mews, that’s a newt! I think the woman over the way locked herself out with her baby indoors! My newt yesterday was using a new programm on my watch. I ran 8 x 0.25 miles within brisk walking for 3.33 miles, longest this year.

No newt here other than the way I felt last night I decided to take strong anti-viral herbal medicine last night. I felt I was coming down with something. Slept like a log till 9 am, occasionally waking bathed in sweat. I am not going for a run/walk this morning and I will take more of the anti-virals. Then take it easy at my client later, after getting quotes for turf and shrubs for a project...
