Jealous of sunny Suffolk and Hastings and anywhere with the sea close by!

It's glorious here too, lovely sunshine but still nice and cool :)

My newt was taking Youngest to college for the first time this year, (he's gone to the library to use a computer to finish off an assignment on a program his laptop can't cope with).

And my first skort run of the year :)

This was me just about catching the sunrise this morning!

I love Hastings but it’s such a ‘busy’ place, sleepy Felixstowe is so quiet in comparison!

Such lovely views!

My newt for today is seeing the most amazing tree covered in yellow flowers on my walk. It made a great contrast to the bluest sky I've seen this year :-)

Lovely Lgj.

Another newt today but it’s Ernie’s newt. He found yet another gentleman with dog treats in his pocket (despite having no dog) and mugged him. This one had dentistix type thing. Last night he mugged a man outside his house. He produced boar treats from the house.

That's a gorgeous, positively (central London) Mediterranean pic, Little N. :-)
Is it Mimosa? Looks like it.

Hi Limegreen - yes, saw your comment and my partner Raffo is here in Hastings all the time. As for me I'm also half time in central London where I've lived for over 40 years. But I'm a Manc by birth (and accent)

Gimme - I know I was being a bit naughty about Cleethorpes. We had a 'summer' holiday there when I was about eight. Made a change from north Wales and the Lake District. At least it won't rain all the time we thought....

Just our luck I guess.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
