Well done to all the runners this weekend. You were all amazing. Proud to have helped :) xx

I can confirm fairly large binoculars, but not helped by me being very small :)

I think I might blog about my race as there is too much to say! I'm still buzzing, so many great moments, seeing everyone at checkpoints was awesome you are all stars, the camaraderie between the D99 runners was lovely, the best moment for me was crossing the line to see an emotional Loon Dod and give him a hug. I also loved seeing all the D33ers when they were on the way out, all so friendly & supportive. That weather was horrendous but I think the D33ers had the worst of it. Thank you too for all the nice comments on here. Well done everyone!

Just want to echo the thanks to the marshals - brilliant effort.
Loved it today - probably would have been wiser to put my jacket on instead of carrying it for 33 miles, but hey ho...
I'll sleep well tonight mind.

I also carried my jacket round! But would have been soaked through anyway and I wasn’t cold (apart from hands & face) until I finished.

Thought I’d be enjoying a long lie today but wide awake!

I need to go for a run before I catch my flight. This'll be amusing :-)

I'm a tad emotional today.

Had an #epic weekend.

Almost eight years ago I met some amazing people the night before my first Highland Fling.

It's been an amazing journey.

Huge appreciation to Vikki and Iain. Hospitality, friendship, chatting about running. Extremely grateful.

Thank you both.

I managed a quick hello and some food in the Station with the D33/99 gang before meeting other friends for an ultra drinking competition elsewhere (that's how it felt anyway). Nice to catch up with FR and the shanksis in the warm with a drink in my hand. I think keeping pace with my gin swilling pals was more challenging than marshalling for almost 22 hours in those conditions. I'm certainly suffering more for it today. I hope the runners and marshals are all having a well earned rest today. I'm away for a wee nap.

Well done all of you. Enjoyed tracking the 99s and 133s as dots and following on FB the 33s. I was sorry for you that the weather closed in on 33ers, though I think it was still OK when 99ers were finishing? Anyway, you're all fab, and so glad everyone got to meet up and enjoy each other's company and cheer each other on. Fantastic. :-) G
