I've added the D99 to the Fetch race listings.

It will be good to see you 12barDavid :-)

Entered, the D99, and didn't realise until after entering this is going to be a one-off.

mrs shanksi, will there be a get together in the pub in Stonehaven after the D99 & D33?

Yes, I know I missed it last year, but as it's the tenth anniversary, I will make a concerted effort not to fall asleep on the settee after the D33.

There is always a gathering in the pub. It will presumably go on 3 times as long this year and involved 3 times as much Jack Daniels.

Crikey halfpint, Jack Daniels. At my age, I'll stick to a couple of pints of real ale.

(Famous last words).

12barDavid yes, Station Hotel Stonehaven for the after party. I'll need a sleep beforehand next year...

shanksi has prepared the D99 planning spreadsheet already!

mrs shanksi, I’m intrigued. What’s the idea behind the spreadsheet for the D99?

Please don’t take it personally if Mrs12bar & I leave the pub early. Even with my hearing aids in, it’s still very difficult for me to hear in noisy environments. Mind you, having said that, she’ll most probably pack me off on an early train back to Aberdeen while she stays behind & enjoys herself.

The spreadsheet is for timings and support needs. List of checkpoints on the left, total miles elapsed, miles between checkpoints, estimated time taken between checkpoints, total time elapsed, actual clock time, what I'll want eg hot food, cup of tea, he puts sunrise and sunset in there, when head torch is required. shanksi loves a spreadsheet. He prints it off and has it on a clipboard. It's a joy to behold.
