From our discussions in the pub Loon Dod was thinking of starting D99 at 09:00 on the Friday with a cut off at 15:00 on the Saturday so 30 hours. This is all speculation though. He was asking me how long I thought I would need. I hope I could do it within 30 hours. It would mean we would be doing the last 16 miles with folk doing the D33 🙂

The weather has been really nice for at least 2 D33s that I can remember, I've run it in shorts and vest and felt fine. We were very unlucky with the weather this year. Saying that, a decent full body waterproof cover is a good buy. I'll be wearing lots of clothes for the overnight bit.

BTW MikeR was telling me they will call it D99 but it will be 100 miles.

I must've blanked out the weather, I can't recall it being that bad. Only realised how wet I was when I finished.

Anyone suffering from lack of motivation now it's over? If only halves left now this year, and they're not really worth stressing over!

You notice the weather more when you're out all day!

I'm actually going for a 30 mile training run with friends tomorrow since they are all doing the Fling and whw. I'm going for the chat and the chips at the end. I haven't got a training program this year, I'm just picking and choosing my runs and fitting it in around uni. Next race is Lakeland 50 in July.

Let me state categorically on here that it will not be entering the D100 (great race though it sounds). I’ll happily crew, buddy, help out as needed for the organisers or other entrants so hope I am involved in some type of capacity.

I'm thinking we need a D99 thread. Will wait and see how many Fetchies enter the race.

Ive just read Dod's post on the D33 Facebook page. That's very good that those who have run all D33's get a discount or free run depending on which race they enter.

I'm going to stick with the D33. Mrs.12bar & I will come along to the park on the Friday morning to cheer the D99 runners off.

Right, am now going to log onto the Caledonian Sleeper website & book our train tickets for next March.

Have I read Dod’s latest Facebook post correctly? Run the D99 in under 24 hours & then run the D33.
