We did have Dod in the back of the car after a few drinks at that point - he'd have agreed to any of mrs shanksi's ideas just to be let out :)

I don't think anything about the D99+1 is set in stone yet.

OK it's not set in stone but if he wants folk to do it then he'll be accommodating I'm sure. I'm not asking for much 😜. It's a very long night in the middle of March so it makes sense from a safety perspective to allow buddy runners for anyone who wants, but after 50 miles. I will await Loon Dod's decision and if I don't think I'll manage it I'll do D33 instead.

My wife & I are just about to start packing. We are leaving Aberdeen tonight on the sleeper train to Euston, then a change of trains & back down to home in Hove.
Many thanks to all the Fetchies who made it such a memorable weekend.

Duchess, who had my race number ready for me at the start & made sure I knew where everything was.
Corrah, who indulged in a bit of sign language with me at the half way point.
Shona who checked on my well being at the 1/2 & 3/4 checkpoints.
I can’t believe the only day of rotten weather was race day.
Finally, Mrs Shankski, rest assured, that time of mine was a one off fluke, never to be repeated. It’s up there with my time at last years Beachy Head Marathon.
See you all next year. Crikey, I’ll be 64 then. Still, onwards & upwards.

Well done all the D33ers, esp marshals in what looked like unpleasant weather. Great Race! :-) G

Just out of interest, are any Fetchies contemplating the D100 next year?

Yes I am, (as long as we are allowed buddy runners from Ballater), along with several ladies from my club but they aren't on fetch. I'm not sure about JRitchie and Lesley C, I hope they do it. How about you 12barDavid?

I'm not to sure. I keep thinking it about it. Then I keep thinking about the weather conditions this year as well.

I wonder what the time limit is. Did I read somewhere, (can't remember where though), that the D100 will start on the Friday afternoon & coincide with the finish of the D33 on the Saturday.

One things for sure, which ever one I enter, I'll have to get a new waterproof running jacket. That Salomon one Ive got was as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Dangerous thoughts.... (this year's weather was exceptionally horrible though, probably the worst I can remember).

It should start Friday morning. George was "joking" in the pub that someone would only need to do the D99 in 23 hours, then they could join the D33 at its normal start time and do a back-to-back D133....
