What sort of bike are you after AndyS?

I'd start by answering that question, then apply your budget to some google searches. This will narrow it down for you. Then the next most important thing is to do your measurements - most of the main manufacturers have very accurate sizing charts.
My husband is 3 inches taller than me, yet when I borrow his bike I have to raise the seat.

Also, on FB - go to your bike of choice groups and do some asking around - you'll usually find that people are happy to share their experiences - good, bad or indifferent

I've done a few bits n bobs. 3-4 commutes with extended rides home as it's better daylight. Plus a couple of weekend jaunts....

Took Mabel for a service last night, nipped a mile along the road in jeans n trainers, only to get a mahoosive pop and hiss puncture. So I had to walk her along to the Local Bike Shop Guy. The shame!

Service AND new tube please! - using a £50 government scheme for some of it. (I've had one already from Halfords, but they didn't take any details last time, so I can't see how they would know i was having another?

Voiced concerns about brakes and chain / cassette too, so hoping she will be good as new!!

Getting out most days this week between 5 & 17 miles. Off to the New Forest on April 12th for a week in the motorhome so should clock up a bit of mileage there.

I've been once! It was nice to ride the new bike, hoping to do more in April as I have some time off :)

Been out on the MTB most weekends recently. Loving it. I unexpectedly have some money to spend so thinking about a gravel bike now.

we are about to embark on a cycle to work scheme, which i am to administrate over.... Woooooop!!

I think I will probably opt for a gravel bike too, never had drops or sporty, and i think a roadie would be a bit too much bike for me. So gravel / adventure road seems a good option (especially given how shite roads are in general)

I am thinking Sonder Camino, but if that happens, who knows? availabilty isn't great.

Anyone got any good scheme recommendations, the original administrator had steered toward Edinburgh cycle co-op, but i don't know if a multi retailer option might be better? So folk can go where they like, and maybe support more LBS?

Our scheme is done through Halfords but LBSs can be part of it. Sadly the LBS makes no profit if it’s a CtW and have to reply on repeat business, maintenance etc.
