Good morning Teaboy, good morning everyone!
Well it's not really, it's raining steadily here in Greater Manchester with no obvious signs of it letting up. I had two glorious days at OT on Thursday and Saturday, and took the opportunity to buy my 13-year old son a ticket for today to give him his first taste of live Ashes cricket, but it's looking not unlikely that he won't get to see any play.

Good morning everybody. Hop, skip, hop it was... Although it appears to have denied us an exciting last day.

Good morning Nelly, good morning everyone!
Rather a damp way to win the Ashes, but it's still winning the Ashes. I've just been looking back at Old Trafford tests, and we haven't been beaten here since Waq-ram and Saqlain turned us over in 2001. Also looks like being 6 out 16 matches resulting in draws - the highest percentage of all the long-term grounds. Lords is 11/38, The Oval is 4/20, Headingly and Edgbaston are 3/18, Trent Bridge 3/19.
Well played ECB
*goes for a shave*

Sounds like someone has been using a bit of Statsguru on Cricinfo. Auditioning to replace Zaltzmann?

I'd recommend The Bugle to anyone who doesn't already listen to it.

Interesting. I'll take the champagne out of the fridge for the time being then.

It would be awesome to see Pietersen and Prior / Broad open the batting

England will be playing for the bore draw as the top three eke it out at about 0.5 runs per over.
