Think I'm right in saying that Flintoff declared at 550+ in first innings of an Ashes test down under when we were whitewashed? 2006?
I think England have edged both sessions so far today (starting from a very poor position, of course). The Aussies would've hoped to have been a bit further on by tea, I reckon. Still got enough runs to declare before the end of the day though, but somehow needing 360 or 380 to avoid the follow-on seems easier than needing 400+ and having to bat for more than 3 days.

Not watched it, but listening to Sir Geoffrey on the wireless at lunch and he was saying that Moeen bowls enough bad balls to not apply the pressure and lock down an end.
For me this is his shortcoming, if the spinner isn't a match winner and isn't a containing spinner, then he's just an easy source of runs.
Granted it's a nothing pitch, but the balls are presumably bad wherever they're bowled

Thought England had told Rashid he was playing in this game and he'd pulled out due to finger injury?
Looks like we're about to find out whether Rogers & Smith deserve a bit more credit for nearly 400 runs between them and a bit less commentary about flat pitches?
