The thing about Rashid is that he can actually turn the ball a long way and has the variety. But unless he's on a good spinners pitch he is going to get walloped in one dayers.

I'm sure there is someone, somewhere, whispering in his ear about him getting consistent with his deliveries. Hopefully he'll listen.

Made a game of it in the end after some basic errors. Fielding is going to have to be an important area to work on but we need a better bowling attack to, just not sure where it is going to come from.

Rashid bowled well, but his is the Leg spinners lot, you can get smashed, a bigger issue was the batting, england went for it, especially Stokes, when they could have made another 20 or 30 runs, if you "have a go" sometimes it does not work.

The batting will settle with time. I'd rather see what was on show today than the World Cup display. The fielding needs work, clearly. But that is practise and concentration. Certainly not the finished article but a step in the right direction.

Yes, very much so, I suppose it is a young team, that will think through the game a bit more in time, I can't wait for the T20 game next week....

Back from the Sussex V Surrey T20, abandoned after a horrible collision between two Surrey fielders going for a catch. Was a funny moment for a second or two, but to see both players face down on the ground motionless was nasty.
Gladly, both players are doing fine now. Looked like it could have been a lot worse.

I was reading about that. Couldn't make the Arundel game for the first time in years and heard it was a great atmosphere until that point. Moises has broken his jaw in 3 places and Rory is in needs of lots of stitches. Let's hope they have a speedy recovery.
