Then for the men's team it's back to 4 day cricket last few days of August.

I think they'd probably be away even if OT were available - school holidays always seemed to be tour of the outgrounds at Southport, Blackpool and/or Lytham. They'll have the new ground at Farington to play on soon, too. My usual annual whinge - historically they would've been at Liverpool rather than Sedbergh, what with it being actually in Lancashire rather than Yorkshire, being in a big city rather than somewhere with a population less than 1500 and having stands and spectator facilities rather than deckchairs round a school pitch. Decent turnout for Lancs v Cumbria 43-over warm-up game at Sedbergh at the weekend though and the Durham game today is sold out.

I can see why the Hundred is not popular with those who already love the game, but my two younger boys and my wife have enjoyed going 3 or 4 times now, and it's on the annual schedule of "things we should do" once the summer holidays start. Still find it odd with 5 ball "overs" but it is an easy and enjoyable watch.
