I don't get why they aren't looking to make 450+ and then put the game out of WIs reach? Ask yourself what would Australia be looking to do in this situation? A quick 30-40-50 doesn't win games. If WIs now bowl England out for say 320, that's a lead ~<200 - WIs bat well and they go past that, say 3 down and go on to make 450 when the pitch is still good on day 2/3/4 and then suddenly England need 250 on a 4/5th day pitch to win.
