Not sure how reliable this is - the headline is fairly sensationalised - but it says that there is not enough safe accommodation for the media, even though the ICC managed to secure some room on a flight for them.

When I played cricket in the Albany, New York area, the best organised local team came from the Guyanese community in Schenectady. Several of their older players had been talented youth players before emigrating for work at the huge General Electric factory. Playing with 'proper' cricketers was a great experience for our ragtag band of relative beginners.

They cooked a great goat stew too, though the local paper occasionally had stories about consternation among the neighbours when the Guyanese slaughtered their own goats in the back garden.

The writer seems a bit confused by time zones if he thinks that the semi-finals are on different days.

The Afghanistan vs SA game was played Wednesday evening local time, with today available as a rain day.

Different pace of game for me today. I'm manning the club bar as we're hosting Leics vs Cheshire O70s. As I say, quite a gentle pace although I understand they hit the bar quite hard at the end of the game :)

It's going well I think but might be a hard pitch to score on.
