It's a good start by Cook and Trott but New Zealand and the Aussies will be a sterner test. I'm sure they were both grateful that Jerome Taylor had to withdraw through injury

Windies are 3rd rate - there best players are in the IPL. If England are as good as they believe they are ,they should be winning easily. Even though the tests are in the Caribean.

There was some discussion yesterday about the W.Indies trying to develop a proper test side and also making their pitches quicker, like they used to be. So far they've been like puddings (the pitches). Their problem is finance

Good point Sarrers. Plenty of discussion about Lyth and Rashid not getting a go but that was about it.
Comfortable win for my team Lancs yesterday but I suspect the first home fixture will be weather affected (as usual) I probably won't be keen on sitting around at OT in 9 degrees on a showery day
