As said yesterday, I like it. Brook might be risky and may not work (at least straight away) but it seems a logical plan to prioritise bowling in the regig without having an extra long tail.

Interesting that the team sheet on BBC has Woakes at 7.

That list isn't quite right as the article says Bairstow is batting at 5, but he's listed at 6.

Woakes likely to bat above Moeen though.

Suspect they'll go Bairstow 5, Stokes 6, Woakes 7, Ali 8, Wood 9, Broad 10, Robinson 11.

Which is a fairly strong tail if it fires.

Tail looked long and weak in last match. Fair play to Broad mind for his effort

Ties are when the match finishes and the scores are level. I think this one is the only 'tie' that is a draw espncricinfo.com
I'm sure everyone knows, but it's only a tie when the scores are level and the team batting second have been bowled out. There have only been two tied tests in history. Bob Simpson played in the first and was the Australian coach for the second. Lancashire & Somerset tied a low scoring county championship game on a spinner friendly pitch at Taunton a few years ago, with Jack Leach taking lots of wickets.

If a County Championship game ends with the team batting last levelling the scores but are not all out, it is a draw. The batting team receive 8 points but not the fielding side. The fielding team would only get 8 points for bowling their opponents out in which case it would be a tie.

When I played Saturday league cricket (and under 17s for that matter despite being only 20 overs) we had winning and losing draws when the second side weren't all out but hadn't got the runs.

I had one of my greatest innings scoring a brilliant 1 not out from 17 ish overs as number 11, to score our only point of the season.
