Bit of a risk with brook at 3 although root the other option and you prefer him at 4.

Woakes does surprise me and I was looking forward to seeing Anderson. Albeit it does appear he is eithervpast it or conditions don’t suit. Or both.

I cannot decide who I want to see bat first. Weather looks like I will see two full days play.

In regards to Anderson, it feels like going for potentially better options TBH on his form so far.

What days are you going Baz?

Conditions that suit Woakes should suit Anderson but Woakes is extra batting given they are going with 6 specialist batters rather than the 7 they've had so far.

Days one and two.

Really looking forward to it. Last two years trips have seen little actual cricket due to rain. This was a mix of county games and ODI. I’ve always wanted to see test cricket and ashes in particular.

Nice, should be good fun. Ideal two days probably England bowl first, get Australia cheaply, then you get to watch England bat well for a day or more.

I can never remember what a draw is. Is it effectively when they run out of time?

Looking forward to seeing if England can get back into it. Been amazing so far - just a highlights watcher here. Enjoy trip Bazo. :-) G

HappyG - yes, various ways of describing it, but 'run out of time' before the match is finished is a decent way to describe it. (whether pure time, lack of wickets falling, slowness or weather related).

Even if one side has a mountain to climb. Or not.

Ties are when the match finishes and the scores are level.

I think this one is the only 'tie' that is a draw espncricinfo.com
