Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

See, I'm spot on with the wickets - just need this pair to put on 200.

Prior needs a 40 or so here. Then we have a decent chance. Maybe.

Hmm, seems to be a 50 and out pitch (or 31 in the case of Prior) Let's hope Bellvis can keep going for a ton (uh huh, uhuh huh)

Busy day at work. ;-) Fetch on the PC and TMS in the background. Luckily no one else in the office.

My theory regarding Bell is that he easily gets confused when in the middle. Today he had to go in with plan A and stick with plan A for the whole day, no time pressure, just stay in and and score runs as and when they came and his obvious ability is plain to see. What he seems to have trouble with is judging when to change gear; when to up the run rate, when to bat within himself etc. as the innings progresses and match situation alters, he seems to get increasingly doubtful that he's judging the situation correctly and ends up losing concentration as a result.

Goofee - that theory has some merit, especially when you remember the infamous incident against India, when Bell thought it was tea and wondered off, to be stumped. The Indians did take back their appeal but Bell's lack of concentration was apparent.

Looks like a good call, Goofee. Mr Bell has, of course, made a mockery of my predictions, once again. dammit.

It should be straight forward, but throughout this match as soon as I've started to think one side or other is on top the initiative is immediately wrested back by the other side. I'm just going to sit back and try to enjoy whatever happens. No doubt I'll be lacking in fingernails by the time it's wrapped up!
