Bell needs a good innings. He got a hundred against India when he batted out a good portion of the last day of the drawn test, but recently he's got a lot of 30's - needs to keep concentrating.

Duckworth Lewis method on TMS. I love 'Jiggery-Pokery', best song ever about cricket, and this is from someone who walked down the aisle to Soul Limbo. OK, it's not technically a song and it's not really about cricket but you know what I mean.

Never been convinced by Bell. He's clearly got lots of talent, and you can no longer say he hasn't got the right mentality to get runs in tight situations, as he's done that, too, but, somehow, he never seems to do quite as well as you think he ought to do, given all that talent. Hope today is the day he really stands up, but I have a horrible feeling that a waft outside off-stump or tame hloing-out-to-cover just before he reaches 50 is more likely.

He could do with maturing quickly into a Graham Thorpe. That's how he started - lots of starts, and never converting - but he got there in the end. Obvious talent though.
