That was mighty close, not sure we (England) deserved it. But against the Aussies not complaining

I was down the supermarket when we won, couldn't face watching that. I'm still recovering from 2005!
Finn has to be dropped for the Lord's test. He is bowling with no confidence and is a liability at the moment. Nearly cost us the match.

He needs bounce in the wicket to be effective, that pitch just did not suit him at all. If Lord's is a better wicket there may well be a case for sticking with him.

FInn is that sort of bowler, fast but can go for runs, a bit like Brett Lee. Lords is his home ground, and he bowls well there. I'd keep him, but I reckon hell get dropped, who would take hsi place, not Bresnan, maybe Tremlett.....

If the first test squad is anything to go by, Onions if not Bresnan would be next in line. Tremlett hasn't set the world alight for Surrey this season so I suspect they are waiting for him to show some sustained form before recalling him.

swittle: yes, I do trust the technology; what I'm not so certain about is the interpretation of the data presented by the technology and decisions made using the evidence.

I see your point. So, if interpretation is open to human error, how is the game better off?
I'm sure this is a debate that's run for ages.....

Tremlett isn't considered fit enough for a 5 day game, yet.
I think the umps had a sho ker of a match and unless they sharpen up, this series will be remembered for controversial decisions and not how we and the Aussies played.
