Ali has been no more messed around than Bairstow, Leach and loads of others. Ali himself hasn’t complained - TV interview he was very complimentary about Roots captaincy, even comparing it favourably to Cook’s when Cook was sat next to him, so it’s not as if he’s afraid of speaking out. Water cannoning unfounded and dubious racism comments about is actually detrimental to efforts to drive out real racism.
