USA look the best women's 7s, from the boys and pieces I've seen.

Mr Chicken was also involved in the great mini bus hijack after the 5th year football team's cup semi final defeat at Newark.

Dunlop Green Flash were murder if you got a quick delivery on the toe. As were HI-Tec squash shoes, another suitably coloured early 80s option of no use on a damp cricket field.

I played my first few matches (as an 11 year old) in some sort of whiteish trainers. I was given an old (very old) pair of leather soled cricket boots, with screw in spikes, by one of the senior players. They were two sizes too big and I had to get the whitener on them (blanco?) same as the stuff we used on pads. Lasted me a couple of seasons before I got my own pair of new boots.

Ha!
Just watching the women's Hundred. Indian opener (Verma?) blatantly challenged the umpire over a non given wide. Real dissent, awful to watch. 2 balls later, LBW, which she reviewed but was given out. Terrible example to be setting, glad she was out but suspect the umpire would have triggered her regardless.
