Did they employ a 90s web designer for the graphics? Or someone who's been hibernating since the early days of Teletext?

Positives include the general on field aesthetics (umpires excepted), and I Iike the win predictor. Plus a stumping Jos Buttler could only dream of. Rest of the fielding has been a bit iffy though.

The win predictor needs either to have the coloured bars at the bottom removed, or aligned with the bar above that actually shows the win percentage. Really distracting. I’m not sure if the chevrons in the sidebars show anything extra but quite like how whichever bar is lower shows if the batting side is behind or ahead of the rate.

I still don't get this 100 lark.
Other than a T20 with a bit of extra profile (which the T20 also got when it launched in 2003 - yes I know) and changing an over from 6 balls to 5balls, I don't see the difference.
Basically it's another T20 competition, but we're being shortchanged by losing 20% of the action.
Or ifyou're cynical. Or more likely have a brain, it's all part of the stealth strategy for getting rid of counties.
Which they've been trying to do for a while - Northants, Leicstershire, Derbyshire are certainly 3 that have been mentioned... And any other team not with an international ground (essex...)
Surrey should be considered. But for other reasons.

Btw, the Lancashire W/K was good. Good hands and foot movement on the stumping chances.

There were loads of kids in the crowd. And quite a lot of people in total for a women’s game. There can’t have been many attendances of a 4 day first class game in England with that many kids there

Yes, if it gets people going fair enough. Maybe it just is short T20, but so long as the long format remains fine. The trouble is the counties want T20 too as well as this, so the blame isn't all with the organisers.
A bit of catching practice required, other than that fine.

It isn't aimed at the likes of us though rf_fozzy. It's crafted by marketing men looking for a new target demographic to sell to sponsors. Promoting the women's game might be a plus (despite the talent being spread pretty thin), but whether it was worth tearing down the previous structure of women's cricket is something we won't know for a few years.
If T20 was given the marketing budget, terrestrial TV coverage and tonight's weather you'd barely have noticed the difference other than the awful graphics..
