About the bowling. If Rankin, Finn and Tremlett are not bowling well enough to be included then you have to question why they were selected in the first place - NO KIDDING, reminds me of Walcott the 12 year old going to the world cup finals.

If you are in the squad you should be able to play.

Very disappointing tour so far and I can't see it getting better

Another innings of poor shots and lack of fight. Getting to "needing miracles" stage.

Think we've been at the 'need a miracle' stage since day 2 of Brisbane. In my mind this has been the worst effort against Australia I can remember. When we were getting thumped in the 90's at least they were a great side, and we were usually poor.

This is a so called good England side, playing an average Australian outfit. We are getting fucking slaughtered, and the difference between the sides is preparation, attitude and fight. Ours piss poor, theirs good.

Lots of talk about 'brutal honesty' in te changing room. I wonder if it was honest. Did they collectively confess to the creeping complacency and arrogance, or just 'oh I played a couple of poor shots'.

On the positive, at least they'll be stuck out there for the next few weeks, in abject misery being ridiculed with nothing to play for. Hopefully the few that have a test career beyond this tour will remeber and learn.

Possibly time for regime change, cancel every central contract and pick the next couple of test teams based on doing tht rare, long forgotten thing called scoring runs ot taking wickets at County level.

Nah just replace 'em on mass with the women's side. They know how to fight. They also know how to sledge - Warner wont like it when our girls greet him with comments about the size of his manhood as a proportion of his height...

Really sad days indeed. As said this does seem to be worse than the 90s

I'm sure I said over inside 4 days about 3 days ago :¬(

Agreed with what's been said! Really does have the feeling of a regime change ala Fletcher days here.

Fair play to Warner took the game away from us with that type of knock

Morning Heavers, Gobers, PE-ers and Fellers, morning everyone.
I switched on at 6 am in the vain hope that we might still be batting to find that we have been fuckin skittled again. To cap it all Broad was in the hozzie with a dodgy foot.

Warner was indeed excellent, he took some stick off us at OT but took it in good heart so deserves praise now. He rode his luck though -which brings me to Matt Prior whose nightmare with the bat has now infested his wicketkeeping too. He's all over the place at the moment. Could he be dropped for Bairstow? Additionally i think they are terrified of dropping Pietersen but he deserves it on form. The top run scorer being Carberry says it all.

Day summed up by Dominic Cork on the radio when he awarded the Bombardier award to Warner as no English player had done anything good :¬(
