Morning Sarars, morning everyone.
Ballance has strengthened his hand with his batting this week however Perth is a different proposition than friendly bowling on a benign university wicket. I think we can rule out a change in openers, dropping Carberry and moving Root back up would defeat the object of the original selection and at any rate Cook has been the worst opener and he ain't gonna be dropped (yet).
Maybe Swann might be dropped because Perth isn't a great spinning wicket so maybe Rankin for Swann.
I think they might want 5 bowlers because of the heat.

Time to bring back Tavare - a nice 5 hour, 210 ball innings of 35 odd could tip the balance in our favour (or at least guarantee we last into the 4th day...)
 at WG Grace. Think I would do that if I was Broad - see my stumps sprayed all over, stick them back in the ground, pop the bails back on and then take guard again...then call for a referral.

Of course in WG's days they didn't have the televised referral so he effectively made the decision for them, he would just call no ball and they'd get on with it .

That would be funny with Broad, especially IF it was day 4 in the final test and the series was at 2-2 (highly unlikely I know) then get the camera on Lehman and just watch his head explode!
