Leics prem is 50 overs with each bowler allowed 10 overs. Until this season div 1 and below was 45 overs with each bowler allowed 12 overs. Last season one of the teams promoted to the prem rocked up to their first game with 4 bowlers having not read the rules...

Ooh - Perry's out. Aus 5 down chasing our below par 217. We've got a chance (although likely to lose by 2 wickets as per Tuesday)

Would it help the stereotype if I told you it was against Kirkby at Nuncargate, home ground of Harold Larwood?

57.5 Degrees of Pain
The Glasgow League used to play 90 overs. Side batting first could use 45, and get points for a 'winning draw' if the team batting second could not get the runs but had wickets left (they got a lesser number of 'losing draw' points). You could also bat on to 50 overs but in the event of a draw the other team picked up 'winning draw' points. Our star bowler was known to bowl 23 overs if needed, he was young and keen.
Once went in at No.11 in the 22nd over, miles behind the opposition's total. Channelling my inner Tavare I partnered our No.10 until he was out in the 43rd or 44th over, finishing 1 not out. A limited overs format would not have suited my inability to get ball off the square.
