Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Surely you have to take into account other things like what are you trying to do to minimise the risk...ie staying at home, face coverings and sanitising etc

1 in 3600 for me.

Bit of fun, but fundamentally flawed.

Is someone with a highish BMI a muscled up exercise freak or a couch potato.

Does someone with epilepsy have thirty fits a day or one seizure a year.

Interesting how with no risk factors at all the age is so important. If I take 30 years off my age the risk out of 100 goes from 60 to 2. Perfectly reasonably there is no assessment of physical and cardiovascular fitness.

No matter what your home postcode, you may work in an inner city Covid ward and travel there by public transport. Or you nay work at home

I am struggling with the concept that 2 different jabs can be more effective than 2 of the same

It's all based on multivariate logistic regression, innit. It only predicts propensities.

I thought they were going to conduct studies into the effectiveness of using two different vaccines, makes sense if we need to vaccinate yearly.

Ba, somebody on How to vaccinate the world said that it might be that vaccines based on adenovirus vectors might get more ineffective after one or more doses therefore mixing and matching with other vaccine types may work better.
But I'm no expert. They probably don't know themselves until they trial it.

Is it akin to being more drunk when mixing drinks?
