Sorry, I should clarify that lack of side effects doesn't mean the vaccine isn't working. eu.statesman.com |

My wife had the AZ jab last week and she's been fine. Apart from she's eating a lot bananas?

Haha you had me worried there! Bananas eh? I think I’ve eaten a few more of those than usual come to think of it! How odd. I did notice I seemed to be extra hungry for a few days after the jab actually, didn’t associate the two things though.

ANyone think the fines should be a proportion of your income? 30 or 60 quid is nothing to someone on 50K or 100K a year. But to someone on min wage it's a lot more. Is there a case to make that some entitled people are choosing to risk breaking regs because it's "only" 30 quid?

FDNB, there's reasonable exercising and getting fresh air, and there's putting yourself at risk, which will likely affect other people (although I hope they were experienced and genuinely thought the risk was negligible).

It's irrelevant whether the judged the risk as low, as they crossed authority boundaries + greater than 5 miles, so breaking regs. Even if local to Ben Nevis, I'd say poor decision making, but it's a hard one. I justified skiing on local hills and running in snow and ice on local hills on the basis that we weren't going far, or high. But it only takes a broken bone or other acute injury to make it look like you were stupid. Having said that, I'd rather have dragged myself bac to car and into A&E with a break than call out MRS in our local hills, just 2 or 3 miles from car park! |
