Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done mcshane! I have a grid of 1. Not in the same league!

A little bit of forcing a warm up and warm down, and managed to merge my two big sections to increase my lawn. Didn't quite expect it to jump to 313 though, and 3 new badges.

Despite the lawn size, still only a grid of 1!

I finally got my grid up to 4 in about 6 months of running around York. However, it was a couple of days after moving house to the Dales, so back to 0 now...

I could get to 2 maximum I think from my current home. I think there's one square close by which is nigh on impossible to visit.

Even if I changed my home anywhere on my lawn, I still wouldn't have a grid larger than 1.

I had one square which puzzled me for months. I could see other people had visited it, but there seemed to be no public footpaths at all. It's an Army firing range and a golf club. Turns out there are permissive paths when the Army aren't using it.

I am lucky enough to be able to access almost all squares around me on public foot paths but also lucky to have permission from most farmers/land owners around here to walk and ride over their land to link footpaths...

Which means, on my side of the valley, I can stray off footpaths to corners of fields or into other fields if need be. On the other side I don't know the farmers and the one I do know is a nasty so and so who removed a brdige over a stream, removed footpath signs and locks and ties gates shut and removes stiles! Imagine straying off a footpath there 😱😱😱

Yes. I did a run a while ago and found a few public footpaths that were less than inviting like that.
