Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Hmmm, Lake Volta. Here’s one zone somewhere in the middle of lots of water to get your feet wet in: fetcheveryone.com/game-conq-zone.php?id=1216541

It would have to be a reservoir with lots of private land around, I think.

Lake Mead is apparently drying up because of droughts, could be zones available that wouldn’t be otherwise. Fancy a trip to Nevada?

I can give you a pond. Or currently not a pond.
Good for quite a few What 3 Words, and a rundle, but not enough to fill a conquersize zone

Most of the time these zones will be walkable, but there’s no guarantee…

LAKE EYRE (Kati Thanda) is one of the world's largest salt lakes and Australia's largest inland lake, comprised of 400 million tonnes of salt. It is the lowest point of Australia (15m below sea level). Lake Eyre has only filled with water four times over the last hundred years!

I got a zone at my sister the year before last walking through a dried up body of water.
I also bagged some tidal zones around Bude last year. Very satisfying...
I also walked up and down on the Hoek van Holland ferry, in both directions, to get weird zones ☺️
I have also been found hanging off the side of a steep rock face to get an "unreachable" zone to get my neat lawn and a grid of 7...
But please don't do as I do ;) I am compensating for my inability to run!

The people who took their watches on public transport were pretty annoying in the early days, tbf :-) But I think I've coded around most of it now :-)

I walked up and down on the ferry until I had 500 metres I think, so technically, it was walking, not sailing on a big bad boat! I also bagged the zones waiting for the feery, again, looping around or should that be snooping? I was called back from an interesting walkway on the UK side and almost missed the feery on the way back, bagging a couple of zones walking on the beach/dunes!

There’s an old - i.e. not dried out in the obvious sense - reservoir near me that’s a haven for BMX cyclists because of the old structure but it’s far from the entire zone anyway.
