Well, if itโ€™s time for confessions then I too saw Gary Glitter, and also met Jimmy Savile at the Wokingham half marathon.
I havenโ€™t knowingly met, or seen live Rolf Harris.

57.5, it must have been some comfort to know you were too old for Mr Savile.

The last couple of pages have read like the over-50s thread. :-)

At age 16 it was more reassuring to be in a group (we were manning a water station).

The over 50s thread have been talking about running. I've come here for a rest...

The over-50s have moved onto old rock bands. That's the problem with over-50s, they have a short attention span. :-p

Apart from seeing Gary Glitter three times, with our uni club Glitsoc, I have seen Jimmy Saville several times at bike races. He used to start and finish, but was notorious for getting a lift for the middle parts. Mention him to my mum and she'd always say "Cheating bugger" (my dad was secretary for Adoria CC and as a kid we went to watch many races around the Pennines and Peak District).

For the hat-trick we saw Rolf Harris busking in Spain, or so i was told, I was only about 5.

Sigh
Rolf Harris was just down the road in Stafford for a 3-year residency, but I didn't go and see him. ;-)

Fetchies appear to have been staying away from Club La Santa in the last year - every zone I visit is a winner nearby, although there have been a couple of cyclists busy on the South coast of Lanza hoovering up zones down there.
