Another 230 for me today. Now on 867... and there's a long slow climb through the woods on tomorrow's dog walk so I should reach my Climb a Kilometre a Week target one day ahead of schedule.

Another 560m for me today.

I think I'm just collecting rather than targeting.

I'm hoping to add some running ascent tomorrow - I've been thinking about routes, anyway. It's going to take me a while to get to 10k. As long as I average at least 195m a week I'll get there by the end of 2017! On target so far :-)

A low tide on one of our favourite beaches meant a change of dog walk plan, so climbing was minimal yesterday - only another 60m to add.

Today, however, Jess and I clocked 171m on our stomp through the wild woods and the housing estates.

1084 now showing in my log. So I have climbed a kilometre, by foot, in a week.

No running for me since Wednesday evening :-(. This morning not only did I have to bin the idea of parkun, I also had to cut Flossie's walk short as I felt too wobbly. Frustrating.

A short and very slow jog this morning, just to make sure I was still alive :-) Pleased to say that I've ended week 1 (plus a day) of my 10k challenge above target - I need to do 195m a week and in the first 8 days I've run up 332m. Onwards and upwards!

I feel a bit left behind by these cyclists and walkers! :-)

Are you not cycling at all at the moment, LD?

Anyway - we need to ignore the cyclists (in this case) - they are bound to accumulate climb miles quicker than those of us on foot. What about dog walking? That's where I'm getting my best totals!

Anyway, you've been unwell.

Running or cycling or (somehow!) swimming uphill in 2017. Monkey people with the ropes and whatnot also very welcome.

Customised targets are the way to go here, depending on fitness and targets and geography and mode of propulsion. Good luck all :)
