Sushi.
I have seen a house with a tree in the window sometime last week.
I didn't put a tree up last year but did do a little scene on the (non functional) fire place.
Can see me doing the same this year too.

I repaired the lights in my Rowan trees. I may just have left them on, oops! But they are Samhain decorations. Those trees have Beltane ribbons in as well that have been there for two years now. I also just checked my Christmas tree in a root bag at the bottom of the garden. It is looking fab! But it won't come in for a few weeks. I bought it last year, to console myself after having had to cancel my Xmas holiday, then my trip to spend xmas with my sister, then my xmas with a friend. I ended up on my own, as I will this year, so got a nice tree for company.

Hanneke -that all sounds very pretty. People may already have lights up for other reasons (like yours, or other festivals). In my head I make the distinction between lights and full on Christmas stuff (eg the inflatable Santas which some people have)
