Neighbour has replaced last years 8 foot tall illuminated snow man with a similarly tall family of reindeers in their newly refurbished decking with glass balustrade area. Lights round house roofline have been on all year.

I thought this was a piss take thread...
It's November, Christmas isn't for weeks. If the Wife and Daughter don't nag too much I might get ours out of the loft on the 23rd December ish.... and I'm not working on boxing day so I'll have time to put it away then.

Seriously the house across the road took their over the top Halloween stuff down a few days ago, it's one of the kids birthdays so they've got balloons and stuff at the moment, I think Christmas Decorations could be imminent.

I got tree and lights out the loft last night (had to go up to top up the boiler anyway). Boxes are now in the spare room but are going up bit by bit before last week in November. Looking on it as winter fest and cheering up dark nights with some lights.

Jen, there is also Diwali, for which I used to.put out dinky clay oil lanterns in all road facing windows in London. Hindu festival of light... Until one wick went rogue and nearly burnt down the house...

The official town centre tree has landed in the town where I live, though it doesn't have decorations and lights on it yet. The natives are well ahead with the house bling.
