Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We had leftover soup for lunch, along with some cheese, pate and dips left from Sun. Later will be a rerun of Christmas dinner. I love boxing day. So much more relaxed.

Almost the best thing about Christmas day dinner is having an array of leftovers for Boxing Day :-)

I did a big lunch today for 5 of us and we had all eaten far too much the day before for Christmas Lunch. Plus I panicked at the last minute and thought that I hadn't go enough so could have easily fed another five today and still had plenty left over. I think some interesting pies may be made over the next few days - and the dog is going to do quite well out of it all too..... :-)

I've just heated up and eaten the plate of Christmas lunch I couldn't face yesterday.
1 meal in two days is not normal festive behaviour. We didn't even start the Christmas pudding - might have some for supper later.

Cooking 'Christmas dinner' again tomorrow - this time for 10. Have peeled 5kg of potatoes and 2.5kg of carrots. There are 45 sprouts waiting to be prepared but I need to go and get the other big saucepan out of the cellar first.

Four of us plus another four yesterday and five today, some of today's are quite demanding. Back to the four of us to try and finish off cold meats, etc. for tea tonight.

Another visitor coming tomorrow and staying overnight, so I will start to breathe a sigh of relief when I go out for an early morning run on Thursday.

We made our first Christmas dinner, everybody ate everything on their plate and nobody died. I'll count that a win :)
